A charming property comprising two buildings dating back to the 14th and 16th centuries, the Merchant's House Hotel has an elaborate medieval façade and lies just 20 metres from the Old Town Square. This three floor hotel features 37 guestrooms, all of which are individually designed in a contemporary style and come equipped with flatscreen televisions with satellite channels and pay movies, Internet connections, minibars, safes, and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms have heated floors and include hair dryers, bathrobes, slippers, and complimentary toiletries.
The hotel boasts an array of passageways, balconies and hidden staircases, hand painted frescoes, and fireplaces, many of them original features. Guests enjoy free access to the hotel's sauna and relaxation room with spa facilities, located in the basement area. Outdoors, the courtyard café is a central feature of the hotel, and opens during summer for guests to enjoy an al fresco lunch, dinner, or drinks. The concierge is on hand to assist with restaurant reservations and advise on local excursions; opera and theatre tickets can also be purchased from the concierge desk. The hotels central location means that many of the town's attractions are within walking distance: the 13th century city walls and Toompea Castle are both within 500 metres, while the harbour is three kilometres away.
