The Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa is a couples only" resort, set on Dickenson Bay. This romantic getaway offers the charm of a quaint Caribbean village, along with the refined luxuries of a world class, all inclusive resort, which has been voted the "World's Leading Honeymoon Resort" four years in a row. Just a few steps from the beach, Sandals guests will find five freshwater pools, one with a signature swim up pool bar that serves unlimited tropical drinks. Guests will also find five soothing whirlpools, six other bars, and four restaurants. There are a wide variety of activities included in the nightly rate.
All room types feature a King bed, ceiling fan and, a patio or balcony and mini refrigerators. The Grand Luxury Beachfront room features a mahogany four poster bed, a sitting area, an in room bar (free, of course), special concierge services and Plush robes. Guests in the Grand Luxury Beachfront will also enjoy full room service, 24 hours a day.

This resort accepts only couples age 18 and older. No singles or triples accepted. The nightly rate includes all food beverages, taxes, service, airport transfers and tips. Beginning in 2005, new amenities and services include:
champagne breakfast in restaurant and room service where applicable.
Beach valets to assist with towel replenishment, lounger assistance and offering misting bottles of fragrant water for quick refreshes.

Hurricane Guarantee:

In the unlikely event that hurricane force winds (as defined by the U.S. National Weather Service) directly hit the Sandals or Beaches resorts while you are a guest, interrupting the use of all the included activities, Sandals or Beaches Resorts will offer a free replacement vacation to be taken at any Sandals or Beaches Resort of your choice.

This replacement stay will be for the same duration as the one originally booked, regardless of how many days were affected by the hurricane. The replacement stay will be in an equivalent room category to the one originally booked, exclusive of air and will be subject to certain blackout dates.

This offer must be applied within one year from the date the hurricane directly hit the resort. This offer subject to change and can be withdrawn without notice. This offer supersedes all previously printed hurricane guarantee offers for Sandals. Blackout dates are defined as those deemed by Sandals Resorts to be not available for such stays.

Please Note:
Effective October 1, 2005: Due to safety concerns and to keep in line with Sandals Resorts' policy to protect the environment, the hotel will no longer offer water skiing as a package feature.

Please Note:

A major hotel and resort wide renovation is underway and will be complete in November 2006. During this time all facilities and amenities of the resort will continue to operate as usual and noise impact will be minimized. After complete, the highlight will be a new and very large pool, with the Sandals signature swim up pool bar, tented poolside cabanas and a whirlpool.
Please Note:
Effective May 1, 2006 all Sandals, Beaches and Royal Plantation resorts will be non smoking in any enclosed areas. Examples include bars, restaurants, lobbies, conference facilities, retail facilities and nightclubs. Smoking will be permitted in all open areas and designated rooms.
